Folks here is the cheapest Lighting Ridge Black Opal you will ever find that has as much red in it.
Its listed as a specimen because its pretty rough. It sits on very thin black base and is cracked into planes of color.
I see only one option for it. Back it with something and glue it down hard. Polish it then seal it.
Then you will have such a fantastic pendant, no one is going to notice its flaws.
If this were solid, it would be worth many thousands as you can see, the color is superb.
It weighs only 2.4 carats, so it will come in over 2. It will polish up well, its almost there.
In the right hands, this is still worth a pretty penny. What some people do with such pieces is amazing.
If you can cut the large section into a carat Opal, well it has to be a $3000 Opal.
I would not risk it myself, but I am not an expert cutter.
Doublet is also possible, it has a wee bit of a dome on it.
So the color is mostly rolling broad flash, the blood red goes off like no tomorrow.
Green, blue, yellow, when it moves, it is very vivid.
It measures 16 x 13 x 2.7mm, a good size and is roughly a diamond shield shape.

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.
When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.
