Yes exciting times here at kangaroo Opals and I have for you here a brilliant, N1 Black Opal from Lightning Ridge.
This specimen has been faced to show the color on top, It is impossible to show you how bright this is.
It will cut many many stones, many many matching pairs of gem quality Opal worth a lot of money, many times what I have this listed for, many tens of thousands of dollars can be cut from this one piece if you were to cut it.
The greens, and there are many shades, with the electric blue are truly brilliant. This is as finer quality blue green Opal from `the Ridge as there is. What you cant see is he depth of color, it is like lookiing ino the ocean.
It is also a lovely piece to hold in your hand, very smooth and luscious as you can see in the video here although youtube has made it look a bit pale.

As a specimen, it is as good as there is. Cut? well just go and look at prices on the internet. You can see how the Opal formed, how it flowed. Just look at the poured edges, like a lava flow but it was Opal!
It is 2 inches by about a half inch to an inch by 2 and a half inches and weighs a massive 575 carats or 3.71 troy ounces.
