Folks here is a fantastic parcel of Opal from Lambina

41 Opals in all, 87 carats in total.

The parcel is made up of :

4 rough Opals between 4 and 5 carats.

3 rough Opals between 3 and 4 carats.

17 rough Opals between 2 and 4 carats

10 rough Opals between 1 and 2 carats

6 rough Opal chips under a carat.

There was only one pocket of material like this ever found at Lambina. There are small solid Black Opals inside the crystal nobbies. You can see a couple that are already opened up and see the color sitting on the Black.

Now you will have to be a top notch Cutter to cut these. They are not for the Novice. Even those between 1 and two carats will cut little gems for rings or pendants. The one I like best is between 1 and 2 carats and I think the most pretty as is is only between 2 and 3 carats. These will take little work but skilled work. Some can be set as is. Some you could use the dremel on and the others will Cabachon. The chips I have not charged you for, but one will make a beautiful pendant it is that bright.

With so little waste, you will have to be careful as every rub on the wheel will cost money.

Mostly blues and greens with reds, pinks, golds, yellow and orange.

You can see the dark shadows, that is the black inside and it is very black as the opened ones show. But wasting all that crystal color to get to the black would be a waste, but that is up to you.

There is color inside the black and color on the black.

Excellent very bright colors that will make you a lot of money.

Sizes range from the largest at 13 x 12 x 6.4 mm over 4 carats down to 9 x 9 x 6mm to 7 x 7 x 4.5mm for the 1 to 2 carat stones.
