Folks here is a sensational parcel of Mintabie Black.
Its no secret Black Opal gets dearer by the day, so this parcel represents outstanding value.
These peices are small, well what I call small, 10 x 5 x 3 ish some a lot thicker. The weights, from 3 to 6 carats.
About 33 pieces, all will cut a stone of some sort.
So you can see although small, will cut a good carat or two and make a very tidy profit.
The color is superb and very bright in these babies. You are looking at over 300 a carat for the best material, the bright reds and greens and multicolors so it wil not take much work to make a profit here.
The color, you will not want to chase just work with what is talking to you or you will rub it all away. Decide the base, leave the black on, and work them as pendants would be the best outcome to me. Some may make small cabs. 5mm ish I guess.
I do not have much of this material left at these prices, no one does.
Folks, miners are asking 1000 an ounce for this material on the field now…..and getting it because no one has any.
