Folks here is a sweet freeform carving of Mintabie Opal that looks like a cross to me.
It measures 31mm long, 16.5 across the arms and is about 4.3mm thick.
One of the arms has a flaw that the color runs through. The color is unaltered so is very stable it must have been there before the color was laid down.
Some very nice reds here with greens and blues and oranges.
On first glance it does not look much, then that pinfire pattern comes alive and contrasts nicely with the broader
flashes of color. The red next to the blue is very pretty.
It wont take much to wrap or encircle this Gem to make it into a pendant.
The color looks best on the vertical to me, so a natural pendant.
This is from my stash, it didnt cost me much 20 years ago so I dont have to charge you much now.
12 and a bit carats, a great size.
