WEIGHT: 41.6 carats, 8.32 grams or 0 oz 5 dwt (troy) weighed dry.
These are medium yield pieces (with backing).
These stones should cut around 12-16 carats of rare Coober Pedy white boulder opal. This stable naturally formed angelstone backing with very stable opal is a very rare formation and not likely to be seen often, over about 35 years of mining I have only come across it a few times.
NOTE: The angel stone photo optics make the opal look yellow based, it is not yellow based but clear bright blue green crystal in person.
Use the ruler as your guide to size (INCHES)
We do not sell opal simulants of ANY sort. All of our opal is 100% guaranteed Natural Australian Opal.
The color variations in some photos are due to different light angles and distances. All of our auctions are photographed with macro settings under a halogen lamp.
Please check the dimensions carefully as the opal will not be as big in your hand as it looks on your monitor! Please check the description carefully before bidding and view your purchased rough opal wet in sunlight or in a dark room with a direct light source ie: desk lamp, down light etc. (As photographed and practiced throughout the opal industry).

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.
When there is an icon indicating 'Auto Bid,' it means our system is actively placing bids for the user based on their maximum bid. This may appear as if users are outbidding themselves, but it's simply a result of the system updating the bid to reflect the users maximum limit.
