This rough opal was recently mined by us on the Olympic opal field of Coober Pedy Australia.

WEIGHT: 389 carats, 77.8 grams or 2 oz 10 dwt (troy) weighed dry.
These are medium to low yield pieces.
These stones should cut around 20-30 carats of solids and/or doublets but will yield much more if carved.

Please check the description carefully before bidding and view your purchased rough opal wet in sunlight or in a dark room with a direct light source ie: desk lamp, down light etc. (As photographed and practiced throughout the opal industry).

Why are users outbidding themselves?
When a bid is placed, this is the maximum amount a user is willing to bid for the product. Our system will then automatically bid on that users behalf, incrementally increasing the bid to maintain their position as the highest bidder, up to the specified maximum.
