This light crystal based red gold multicolor seam stone was mined on new Donna's Rush opal field of Coober Pedy Australia.

WEIGHT: 8.65 carats

DIMENSIONS: Around 20 by 16 by 4 mm.

BRIGHTNESS: A nice, sparkly 3 out of 5 all over.

Carving this stone will increase it's yield, (up to 80% of total weight).

This stone should easily cut from around 3 to 4 carats of solid opal.

The color variations in some photos are due to different light angles and distances. All of our auctions are photographed with macro settings under a 60 watt incandescent lamp.  In some photo's the opal is immersed to show the true color and in some it is not in order to show the true dimensions. We have found this the best way to bring you a true as possible representation of the stones you will receive.

Please check the dimensions carefully as the opal will not be as big in your hand as it looks on your monitor! Also some monitor settings will cause white based opal to look darker than it actually is. Please check the description carefully before bidding and view your purchased rough opal wet in sunlight or in a dark room with a direct light source ie: desk lamp, down light etc. (As photographed and practiced throughout the opal industry).
