MATRIX ROUGH

This is a natural piece of boulder matrix from Opalton Queensland Australia..This material has precious opal embedded in the ironstone and usually is easy to get a top polish on.As the opal is through the stone it is easier to polish than boulder opal which may have only a thin colour bar on top.It should be fun to cut this stone.You can cut stones from it make beads or do some interesting specimens or carvings.
