Wow, what an Opal here! Huge and colorful from every angle. Mostly Red, with Green, Orange, Cyan, Yellow, hints of Blue and Purple. A surprising amount of Cyan and Blue for an Opal this size. See pictures and video for full color range. This is just a fantastic Opal, polished myself with full diamond polish up to 100,000 grit. This Opal is just top quality. At least a 4/5 for brightness.. The backside of the stone has a bit of dirt still in the stone, but that’s pretty common and acceptable for the backside of the stone. As you can see, the appraised value for this Opal is nearly $2500. That's a wholesale value for insurance purposes. As you can see, the value on the appraisal is a "replacement" value not a retail value. This Opal could easily sell for $5000 in a jewelry store brought to you at no reserve.
I took pictures of this Opal in high magnification and full sunlight to give you the best idea of its color play and quality. As a certified gemologist I can verify that the above description is accurate and that this Opal/Opals have been tested to verify identity and natural origin.
