This is a natural rough specimen mined in Ojuelos jalisco in Mexico. The silica has traces of copper in it. When polished it looks like timber veins[ but its not!] it is also called ‘redwood ‘stone. The hand shot has the back of the stone.
This bubbly liquid formed a extremely wild mixture of botryoidal forms and patterns.
Interesting as a collectors item.
The Opal Sheriff program allows our members to request an audit on any auction, which is completed by an independent Gemologist who assesses the accuracy of the item description and pictures.
