Quality Ethiopian Welo Opal
Beautiful cabachon shape with a flat back and eased edges, ready to be set. The stone has an opaque cream base and very bright fire. It has a beautiful mixed, partly celled pattern.
Unless it is explicitly noted differently in the description, all opals in my auctions are flawless: No cracks and no treatment of any sorts; just pure natural beauty.
The opals I sell here have been cut by me. I travel to Ethiopia regularly to buy my rough. Because there are as little middle men involved as possible and I’m directly at the source I can offer you high quality opals at a great price.
Pictures try to show how the opal looks under sunlight. The pictures are as taken and have not been worked on except for cropping.
