This is a gem A grade natural Australian crystal opal made triplet  pair held together by uv glue which is more water resistant than other glues..These are very bright stones. Note there are a large number of fake[synthetic ] triplets on the market so be sure to compare between reputable sellers who guarantee there stock as natural stones
