Most boulder opal is set in bezel set designs where as black is mostly claw set designs .

Brazil or Mexican opal is also mostly bezel set as crystal opals with sides bezel to make the opal pattern brighter or to stand out more and protect the opal

Top crystal opal is also inlayed into gold rings and some inlay gold rings have gap on bottom so can fit finger 1-2 sizes larger as these rings cant be resized.

This opal is natural formed gem to top quality opal and when set in the ring the back is blackened and make the crystal opal show bright display of colour similar to rare black opal.

Cluster rings are popular as this s uses several small opals but when all joined in a setting the visual impact looks good, diamonds can also be added to cluster design rings.

Most rings claw set can be resized but bezel rings are difficult to resize
