How does the Verified Seller program work?
Our specialized opal auction site is successful due to our unique Verified Sellers program and strong support from the opal industry.
Our verification process requires that sellers have high standards of knowledge, expertise and experience in the opal industry.
After initial approval, sellers start on a basic selling plan with a maximum of 20 items listed. Following that, they must build up 20 positive feedbacks and at least 100 listings before verified status is reached.
Our sellers are opal wholesalers, miners and cutters with many years of experience, and strong devotion and passion to the industry. In fact, many wholesalers are changing their business by selling through our auction site, as they find it very efficient.
Wholesalers find it too costly to sell through shops and do trade shows, compared to our low fee cost whilst being exposed to the global market.
By subjecting all sellers to a strict approval and initiation process, we ensure our sellers are top quality, resulting in an ideal buyers market!
APPLICATION TO BE A VERIFED SELLER ON OPALAUCTIONS
-Please provide brief details about your company and yourself.
We are seeking new sellers who have products to compliment our site,so it is important to provide information if you have a unique product as that will help your application, also include if your wholesaler ,miner etc
-Any associations you belong to.
We recommend these two organizations if you are not a member of any organization.
-Country of residence and from where items will be shipped
-Any links to web sites selling your gemstones.
-Any Trade references
-Bond Deposit fee $500.00
As our sellers are not Verified till they have 20 feedbacks we require bond of $500 to be wired into our non interest bearing account for 12 months.
Refundable after 12 months.
One of the main strengths of our auction site is that sellers have to be verified before they can sell, so buyers have confidence that our sellers are professional gemstone dealers ,miners or wholesalers and if problem arises we can guarantee buyer this purchase is covered till seller is verified.
We have several plans for our sellers but first they have to start on a Starter plan and to prove themselves before they are verified.
For the first 1-2 month new sellers can only list 20 opals and descriptions and accuracy is monitored by our Opal Sheriff program
Sellers have to agree to our terms and conditions including that they must have passion for Opals and belong to a trade industry or organization and to offer Opals at wholesale prices.
Sellers have to supply business references and agree to our code of ethics including FTC and Code Of Conduct.
