THIS ROUGH WAS MINED AT THE FAMOUS HAYRICKS MINE IN QLD. IT HAS BEEN
BLOCKED OUT AND IT IS NOW READY FOR POLISHING. LEN CRAM CALLED THIS
MINE "THE GREATEST OPAL MINE OF ALL TIME". IT WAS FIRST DISCOVERED IN
THE 1930'S . THE LAST MAJOR OPERATION WAS TO REMOVE THE TOP HILL BURDEN
AND IT IS BELIEVED THE PARTNERSHIP DIDNT RECOVER ITS COSTS. THIS STONE
IS FROM THE LAST MINING VENTURE. THE FIELD IS KNOW FOR ITS QUALITY
STONE. AS WITH ALL OUR STOCK YOU MAY RETURN IT FOR A FULL REFUND IF NOT
PLEASED.
