About this item specifically~ This opal is much nicer in the hand than the photos and videos show. The color and transparency combine to a look that cannot be fully conveyed in our images. Thanks~ ExoticOpal Here we are offering a beautiful and very rare pinkish-blue crystal opal from the new locality near Welo, Ethiopia. It has been finished carefully and with great attention to detail into a fancy "delta" shape that has limitless design possibilities. It could be cross-drilled (carefully...by a skilled opal cutter only) and hung on a simple chain or leather band, or it could even pair with some diamonds and a gold bezel setting for a knockout enhancer. The entire stone is beautifully crafted and shows the rare and beautiful pink and blue "glow" that helps set this opal aflame as a base for the intense neon multicolor (more like technicolor, almost psychedelic) fire throughout the gem. This opal was hand-cut in our US lapidary from dry, seasoned rough selected specifically for long-term stability and investment potential. The stone is flawless with a perfect cut and mirrored polish all over. It weighs about 4.18 carats and measures about 14mm x 13.5mm x 5mm aprx.
