About this item specifically~

This is a very pretty and a bit unusual opal from the famed Piaui locale in Brazil. Brazilian opal is very dry and very hard so it tends to be more wearable than many other types of opal on the market today. This particular piece has nice "sunset" twinkling bright pinfire with a neon look on a lovely creamy white base with a hint of off white tan blended in. It gives the opal sort of an "antique" look and is very attractive. It weighs about 1.5 carats and measures about 12mmx9.5mmx3mm approx. We are offering it at just under $200 per carat ~ only $298~
