THIS STUNNING CREATION WAS MADE BY JACKIE IN NZ FOR OUR JEWELLERY COMPETITION IN 2008 AND WAS AWARDED EQUAL FIRST PRIZE.
THIS THAN SHE HAS USED HER CREATION A SA DISPLAY ON SHIPS ENTERING NEW ZEALAND AND IS NOW OFFERED FOR SALE FOR THE FIRST TIME

My design is simple elegant that I titled PACIFIC OCEAN
I sell most of my jewellery on board ships that visit New Zealand and cruise the Pacific Ocean so I am always inspired by the sea and my enjoyment with opals.
Opals and pearls are my favourite gemstones.
I won auction Q291 from Opalmania,this 27 carats opal reminded me of the rolling blue waves and actually is bright electric blue colour

I set this magical rolling blue opal in 9 k yellow gold hand made bezel setting with large pearl enhancer so it can be worn with string or pearls or large silky necklace
From Gem Traders I won 15 carat Pearl as I enjoyed the shape and lustre of this pearl

The pearl swings freely from the boulder opal so I have tried to incorporate the pearl from the sea and the ironstone in the pendant representing the land mass
