This book is published due to popular demand of after launching ‘DISCOVER OPALS BEFORE & BEYOND 2000, 1996.’ Limited Edition No.1-1,500. Because it was realised only in glossy hard cover, miners asked to publish in a soft covers so Mary & I had to travel the opal fields once again and update the book. We didn’t just update we practically made a new book with over 1,000 colour photos, maps & illustrations more than double amount of information. This book now is classed by many as classic & bible of the opal industry. We published 5,000 copies. 4,000 soft covers & 1,000 in glossy hard covers. We also made few Special Editions with ribbon page marker which has never been done before with natural opal attached at the end. It is presented in a colourful protective sleave.
