Description
This is a bright and beautiful opal from Brazil. It was mined and cut in the Pedro Segundo area of North Eastern Brazil.
1.67 carats ... 14 mm x 7 mm x 3 mm
A fine and flashy example of Brazilian small flake to pinfire pattern. A zillion tiny spots of color completely fill the crystal body of this opal. The bright play of color lights the opal with a blue green glow, as if lit from within.
A modified pear shape will be perfect for ring or pendant. This opal is polished on both sides and both sides have a strong and appealing presentation of the pinfire color display. Either side may be your favorite, who can say which? More red on one side, more green and multicolor on the other. What a choice! Can you have both?
