Description: This is Fairy Opal displaying SPARKLING ELECTRIC colors of RED ORANGE GOLD GREEN and BLUE. Beautiful interchange of colors (see video). This piece has been stabilised to strenthen the stone and it has been TREATED with NATURAL, NON TOXIC products so as to darken the stone to achieve a bigger contrast and therefore a brighter sparkle of the gem colors that are throughout the entire stone.

The white spots showing on the face is crystal pipe particals.

*Fairy Opal is miners term for type of opal matrix found in the Queensland boulder opal fields. It consist of traces of very bright sparkling opal sprinkled throughout natural earthy orange sandstone. This material can be treated using natural products, to achieve more contrast and therefore an even brighter sparkle.
