Please note that we employ photography techniques that emphasize the beauty of the stones and that many microscopic elements NOT visible to the naked eye will sometimes show in the photographs...please disregard any lint, black gemcup fibers, dust, etc. that you may see in the photos.  We will always disclose any noticeable or consequential flaws or imperfections in our listings.  These unique characteristics add to the provenance of the stones and ensure your investment is in quality, 100% natural and untreated opal. This item has been photographed using  a variety of lighting sources and background materials to show the various appearances of the stone based on lighting conditions but the photos have NOT been edited or modified except for cropping (cutting to size). There will be variances in the temperature and color of lighting and/or background color/texture to best represent the item in differing settings. About this item specifically~ Wow!  What a superb supergem Ethiopian opal!  It has incredible wild colors of every shade imagineable and has been lightly sanded AND POLISHED TO A BRILLIANT SHINE ON THE FACING FLAT SIDES to show the color.  This piece is full of very very dense and SUPERB NEON METALLIC 5/5 BRIGHTNESS fire.  It could probably be further cut with good success by a patient hand familiar with this type of opal and experience. It has been photographed completely DRY with no disgusting oil or sealer...nothing but a nice matte shine on the faces and the rocky matrix base remaining natural and rough for a base.  This piece shows some minor fracturing but as it is currently in the rocky matrix, it should make an outstanding specimen and will display very attractively just as it is.  It could also possibly be cut into a few stones but this is a great piece for collectors due to the great finish.  This magnificent opal weighs about 133 GIANT carats and measures about 37mm x 34mm x 25mm deep approx.  We are glad to offer such a unique piece of ExoticOpal starting at just $1 with NO RESERVE~HURRY~
