This item has been photographed using  a variety of lighting sources and background materials to show the various appearances of the stone based on lighting conditions but the photos have NOT been edited or modified except for cropping (cutting to size). About this item specifically~

This is a FABULOUS and VERY RARE type of stone and any opal collector would be VERY happy to own this stone.  Here is a true precious colorplay (not from contra-luz lighting) and INTENSE red/orange faceted Mexican crystal opal.  The stone has two characteristics that make it outrageously desirable.  First, it has a hot red-orange color but the color is open and shows a few hints of silk here and there that don't take away from the overall appearance.  The photos seem to make this stone look problematic but it is not at all and the video does a better job of representing the gem.  Second, it has very very very rare medium precious colorplay in most lighting and that is almost unheard of in this color of Mexican opal.  The colorplay is a melange of beautiful exotic pastels and unique hues of striking color.  The stone is MUCH MUCH MUCH nicer in person than these photos.  Finally, it is a large stone, weighing in at 1.6 carats.  Don't miss your chance to win this magnificent stone~It measures about 10.5mmx7.5mmx5.5mm approx. and we are offing it for just $1 start with NO RESERVE~HURRY~
