WORD PICTURE: This opal is hand cut and polished, to a freeform shape, ready to be set in jewellery.
The colour play is scarlet reds to magenta reds, fuscia, purple, orange, gold, greens and blues atop a black base opal body tone. The colours flash and transmute as they roll within the individual pattern segments as the opal is rotated. Collector/Investment piece.

Yes, it is a nice one - This is the type of opal that keeps us motivated - this is the type of opal that all opal miners hope to come across, but, it is not often we find stones like this, particularly difficult to find material that will cut to one large stone with consistent pattern and colour across the whole face, like this one.
