Description

Ethiopia: Wello multicolour playing best quality Opal

A new source of high-quality play-of-color opal was discovered in early 2008 in Welo Province, Ethiopia, about 500 km north of Addis Ababa. This deposit is geographically distinct from the Mezezo deposit in Shewa Province, which was discovered in the early 1990s. This Opal is dry and abel to cut.

Äthiopien : Opal aus Wello Wüste, top qualitat

Im Frühjahr 2008 wurde in der Provinz Welo, Äthiopien, etwa 500 km nördlich von Addis Abeba, eine neue Quelle qualitativ hochwertiger, farbenreicher Opale entdeckt. Diese Ablagerung ist geographisch abgelegen von dem Vorkommen in Mezezo in der Shewa Provinz, das im Frühjahr 1990 entdeckt wurde.
Den Opal habe ich trocken fotografiert.
