Description

SUN LOONG CHINESE DRAGON HEAD Gem Opal 30cm x 30cm The Chinese Festival has been held regularly for many years in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia.  It marks the appearance of Sun Loong, the new Dragon, thought to be the world's longest imperial Dragon.  The festival culminates in the "Waking the Dragon" ceremony that prepares the Dragon for its walk around Bendigo during the Gala Parade.  Sun Loong first appeared in 1971 and was created to replace Loong who first appeared a long time ago and now spends retirement in the Golden Dragon Museum. Jenadors Sun Loong Dragons Head was created to come to life with the fire of the opal.  The design of an image is etched into 5mm thick black glass.  The etching is embedded with opal that has been selected and cut for its brilliance and lustre.  The finished piece is framed and when mounted on a wall or perhaps a bench top with lighting directed on it, the image comes to life!   A truly beautiful, spectacular masterpiece. Jenador Gem Opal pictures are investment, collector pieces and are sold with a certificate of appraisal. This piece was completed in one month and measures 30 cm x 30 cm framed. To view more of Jenador’s work, please visit www.gemopalart.com
