Description

ULURU AND ABORIGINAL SETTING 38 inches x 28 inches97 cm x 71 cm Uluru also known as Ayers Rock is a large sandstone rock formation in Central Australia in the Northern Territory.  Uluru is sacred to the aborigines and has many varied springs, waterholes, rock caves and ancient paintings.  Uluru is notable for appearing to change colour as the different light strikes it at different times of the day and year. The tranquility of the setting and the opal enhance and compliment each other beautifully.  There was an occasion recently when this piece was photographed outside at night time, with the crickets and other insects making their usual noises the feeling we all felt was of actually being “there".   Completion time, three months and two weeks. Jenadors Uluru and Aboriginal Setting comes alive with the intensity and sparkle of gem opal. The design of an image is etched into 5mm thick black glass.  The etching is embedded with opal that has been selected and cut for its brilliance and luster.  The finished piece is then framed and when mounted on a wall or perhaps a bench top with lighting directed on it, the image comes to life!  A truly beautiful, spectacular masterpiece. Jenador exhibits her art around the world, her works are investment, collector pieces and are sold with a Certificate of Appraisal.  To view online DVD please visit www.gemopalart.com
