PERUVIAN BLUE OPAL BEADS This is a parcel of four Peru blue candy opal beads that has all been drilled.There are white strips which give it the name candy opal.The drilled hole is small app 1 mm.These stone are hand cut . Treated- Colour enhanced Weight 24.80 cts app size 13 x 10 x 6 We do offer untreated peru opal rough in our sister store VOLCANIC OPALS under PERUVIAN OPAL ROUGH Peruvian opals range in color from very blue to green / blue to an aqua colored blue. Peruvian blue opal is relatively rare and is only found in the Andes mountains near San Patricio, Peru. It is a very translucent stone with color similar to the Caribbean Sea. Depending on how the stone is cut it can be clear, scenic (showing varying degrees of color) or dendritic which has black fern like inclusions. This is the national stone of Peru.
