Description
Welo Top Grade Cutters
20.86 carats, measuring 24 mm x 16 mm x 14 mm
This piece is a clear crystal body. It has a frosty skin and the intense fire within makes the stone itself look blue green. This stone has a full spectrum of colors within, a bright and fiery play of color display. There are a couple of cracks and this piece will not cut one large finished opal. It will cut two or three beautiful and brightly colored opals.
Welo opal has hydrophane properties and will absorb water. Wetting it will cause it to gain weight and will affect both the body tone and color display. This rough has not been watered for weight or extra brightness, No treatments of any kind. Pictures are all taken dry, mostly in sunshine or bright overcast.
