Description
Welo Top Grade Cutters
32.77 carats, measuring 25 mm x 21 mm x 15 mm
This piece is a chunky white body full of multicolor fire. Aside from surface flaws which will be ground away in the initial shaping, the piece appears to be solid and should cut a large and beautiful multicolored opal.
Welo opal has hydrophane properties and will absorb water. Wetting it will cause it to gain weight and will affect both the body tone and color display. This rough has not been watered for weight or extra brightness, No treatments of any kind. Pictures are all taken dry, mostly in sunshine or bright overcast. It's been a rainy Autumn.
