Description
Welo Top Cutters
13.76 carats, measuring 25 mm x 14 mm x 14 mm
This piece is white crystal with multicolor fire. A whole rainbow of broadflash color fills the large flake and the fire takes the distinctive column or pillar shape unique to Welo opal. This will cut a stunning piece full of multicolor fire in distinctive patterns.
Welo opal has hydrophane properties and will absorb water. Wetting it will cause it to gain weight and will affect both the body tone and color display. This rough has not been watered for weight or extra brightness, No treatments of any kind. Pictures are all taken dry, mostly in sunshine or bright overcast. It's been a rainy summer.
