Please note that we employ photography techniques that emphasize the beauty of the stones and that many microscopic elements NOT visible to the naked eye will sometimes show in the photographs...please disregard any lint, black gemcup fibers, dust, etc. that you may see in the photos. We will always disclose any noticeable or consequential flaws or imperfections in our listings. These unique characteristics add to the provenance of the stones and ensure your investment is in quality, 100% natural and untreated opal. This item has been photographed using a variety of lighting sources and background materials to show the various appearances of the stone based on lighting conditions but the photos have NOT been edited or modified except for cropping (cutting to size). There will be variances in the temperature and color of lighting and/or background color/texture to best represent the item in differing settings. Please note that these variations in the photos are NOT from editing the photos to change their appearance (they have not been "pumped") but are from lighting and background changes only.
About this item specifically~ This is a SUBERB quality and very difficult to come by piece of topppppp gem grade semicrystal opal from the famed Olympic locality near Coober Pedy, Australia. This stone is INTENSE NEON METALLIC SKIN TO SKIN DENSE fire...the best of its type. The piece is perfect with no flaws or problems of any sort. It weighs about 2 carats and is calibrated to 11mmx9mmx3mm approx. for easy commercial setting into a very valuable piece. This opal is a great investment and we are proud to offer it here for under $1000 per carat ~ just $1888 obo HURRY~

bertiebutt, May 31, 2008:
I don't mind at all........I had to have surgery on my upper arm this week, as I fell on ice back in January, broke it, and it didn't heal, so they had to put it back together with some metal and grafting....It's going to be O K though...It's just that right now I'm limited and swelled up like a 'puffer fish'.....
I want you to know that I received the opals today, and I am very serious when I say that they are breathtaking. I put them under light, shined a flashlight on each, and took them out in the sun, and they were Amazing......that Brazilian is a killer, but all three are full of color and sparkle...I'm thrilled with all three, really....and your bonuses are so special..........one little Eth. is just wonderful and full of color......
I don't know about the shell opals, but if you have some of top quality, I would love to see them.........I want you to know that I don't want just opals that are a good deal, but I do want precious unique ones (even though the result will be fewer stones) that I can treasure.............
Right now is not the best for me cash flow wise, so if we can work something out with $XX down, etc., that would be great, but I also realize that time is money for all of us, and I certainly don't suggest that my love turns out to be repetitive or long term financing...................
As always, take care, and give me your comments.......
P.S. I'm still thinking on the Coober, as I really like the pattern and colors based upon the photos. I had been looking at that Belemnite for awhile now, and I let it slip away.....I don't want that to happen again while I'm pondering a decision
