About this item specifically~

Here we have a simply astonishing chunk of boulder opal from outback Queensland, Australia. This piece shows SPECTACULAR peacock feather pattern and beautiful intense blue, green and purple metallic colors that mimic the majesty of a peacock's tail feathers. It has a flat surface with only a trace of unevenness (most boulder opals are not flat but irregular because of the way the material forms and is faced and polished) and it shows the beautiful colorplay in virtually any and all lighting and from all angles. This stone is a superb specimen and we bet you will never see another similar at any price, anywhere. This piece could certainly be cut and made into a pendant beyond your wildest dreams or you can display it proudly as it is with the rest of your opal collection. Either way, this piece will definitely blow you away when you see it in person.  The gem weighs about 61.7 carats and it masures roughly 29mmx24mmx12mm approx. max dimensions.
