Description: This is rough specimen of Fairy Opal displaying sparkling RED ORANGE that changes to VIOLET and BLUE with slightest movement. This specimen piece is NOT TREATED in any way it is left in it's NATURAL state.
*Fairy Opal is miners term for type of opal matrix found in the Queensland boulder opal fields. It consist of traces of very bright sparkling opal sprinkled throughout natural earthy orange sandstone. This material can be treated using natural products, to achieve more contrast and therefore an even brighter sparkle.
