Description
Lightning Ridge Black Solid Opal
"Rolling channel cut," of my own design.
Shows play of Rolling Electric Greens and Blue with slight red hints, bright flashes of fire,
Specially designed to flash and roll.
Rolling electric flash could not be done justice by my camera or scanner skills.
Cut years ago and specially designed to be set in a channel set ring.
New and regrettably I never managed to fabricate one for it yet.
A unique cut I've designed and never seen anywhere before.
Genuine Old Ridge Stock, finished to a true
mirror fine polish.
Cutting finish steps included, 1200, 14,000 and 100,oo black diamond grit syringe extra fine polish and then cerium oxide for an ultimate glass like finish and reflective shine.
Solid Gem Black has one edge lighter semi crystal ,
Nice rolling color plays designed and cut to display electric flashes as the hand moves and turns. ( Was very demanding to photograph )
Truly 1 of a kind...as for the cut as far as I know?
Top to bottom fire , with faceted bevel underside edges, complete steps polished all round top , bottom and facet bevel bottom edges. All polished to the same degree.

4.34 wide x 12.5 Long
x 5.8 dome height @ 2.55 carats
* Notes: Side profile shots are included for designer references to cut for making the ring, sides show little if any fire,
however both the Top and Bottom do !
* * A slight bezel should completely hide the lighter semi crystal , leaving a solid black gem appearance when set properly.
