Description

Large nice oval is an N6 body tone with lots of bright green flake fire.

Fire shades into limey yellow green and yellow orange. Large flake fire with blue accent colors in an amber honey tone body.

This opal was cut in 1980 from Olympic field rough. It has been in my retirement collection and now that I'm retired from the 9 to 5 grind, I'm letting some of my old collection go... Gotta buy treats for the grandkids now!

14 mm x 23 mm x 3 mm, a large and fine opal showing a strong color display.

This opal is a 5 or better on the brightness scale, a beautiful stone ready to set.

This opal should sell for $350 per carat or more. Offered here today for less than one hundred per carat, this is a real bargain and would make an excellent investment piece. Look around and you will see similar opals here on site for several hundred dollars per carat.

Hello there, Thank you for your purchase. Please use the check-out page on the site to complete your transaction. When the payment is complete, you will have my phone number, as part of the process. Then we can discuss delivery to you. I do not ordinarily meet with my customers or their agents, but perhaps we can arrange something satisfactory. Normal shipping would be far more convenient, but we can discuss that after payment. Sincerely, Mike

Hi there, Thanks for your note... I love those little fellows too. I have some nice Coobers and a few LR clam shells and snails, I'll dig them up and let you know... I do have an unusual item listed right now. It is a clam shell replacement from Welo Ethiopian fields. It's pretty much complete...check item #230884 by entering that number in the search field onsite here. No polishing or cleaning up, it is just as I found it. It's priced fairly high, but it is an unusual item and I haven't been eager to let it go to someone who is just looking for top cutting material. It's a fine red multicolor, but I think the form is more important in this case. I suspect that more pseudo-morphs will be forthcoming from the Welo area, I have lots of pieces which look like belemnites and corals... Thanks for contacting me and I will keep you posted on more as I find them. Sincerely, Mike Kelley
