Nicely cut, well proportioned oval shaped opal from Lightning Ridge fields.

5 mm x 7 mm x 2 mm thick, this opal weighs 0.41 carats. It is a cabachon cut with a low dome.

Mirror finish for maximum display of color, with flat back beveled for safe and easy setting.

Bright blue and green color display shows flagstone structure with large blocks covering most of the display. The colors are strong and flashy and would probably suit a ring setting best.

Standard 5 x 7 mm size will probably fit most premade findings but no guarantees, as designs vary widely among manufacturers. This opal deserves a setting handmade especially for it.

This is a rare and beautiful black opal with blue and green flagstone display.
