Here is a nice Opal Rub From Lightning Ridge. This is a nice Opal with a white backing. Has Good color though. This one can be worked.

ORIGIN: Lightning Ridge, Australia

BODY TONE: N-1, Black Base with Pleasing Green Fire Through the Opal.

CLARITY: Bright 4 out of 5

COMMENTS: This is a GEM black opal with good color play and no bad spots at all. This stone is cleaned.

Body tone: The body tone is the color of the background of the opal if the gem colors were ignored. The body tones can vary widely. It can be black, dark (semi-black) or light opal. N1 is jet black through to N9 which is white.

Note. Pictues are taken with a Nikon 4800 camera in natural or low light Automatic mode with no touchup needed. Natural is Great.
