THIS IS NATURAL CRYSTAL OPAL FROM COOBER PEDY WHICH HAS BEEN SET IN SANDSTONE FROM THE OPAL LEVEL.THE OLD MINERS CALLED IT ''SHIN CRACKER'' AS WHEN YOU DISLODGE THE SANDSTONE IT CAN FALL DOWN AND HIT YOU IN THE SHINS.-VERY PAINFUL.SOMETIMES YOU FIND OPAL IN THIS BAND AND IT DOES LOOK LIKE THIS BUT OF COURSE NOT POLISHED.LOVLEY FIRE OF BLUE GREEN .THIS WOULD MAKE A INTERESTING STONE FOR A RING
